Yeah CJNG killings of armed groups and self defense groups ie what the viagras once were went up significantly but it was a brutal war trust me I saw the videos. I don't think the viagras are completely extinguished yet though. They did take a big loss with a multi million drug deal of a half ton of meth where the mayor involved was arrested and CJNG stormed that mayors city.

this section will just list guns that have been sold on the black market or ATF blunders that have sold guns to cartels. The reason I think this is important is that I feel like in other war zones weapons have well let me call them natural predators. In war zones, people with small arms are regularly blown up by drones, and their guns along with them. Or weapons are lost in the desert when a combatant is picked off by a lucky bullet from an enemy far away who probably doesn't even know he killed someone just then. Guns are lost in the sea in smuggling or naval altercations. Guns are seized in raids and never used again. But not in Mexico the urban and Jungle landscape force closer gun fights. Fights in the desert are normally after drug shipments thus the fighters are motivated to see what they hit. There are significantly fewer explosives and few if any airstrikes. Mexico is the main and usually final destination for many illegal arms and other countries that also need illegal weapons are connected to Mexico by land. Only when the government literally runs over guns with a steam roller are guns destroyed. Those weapons destroyed are normally cheap rifles, Saturday night special pistols, hunting shotguns, and homemade firearms. AKs made after the 80's are safe. Also, the Mexican police have had numerous corruption scandals so I doubt they are above selling seized weapons. So one can assume guns sold in Mexico stay in Mexico. Hence I have compiled this list of weapons that are likely still in the Mexico violence playing field.
